Data for the manuscript ''Mesoscopic Dimensional Analysis of Submarine Debris Flows: Implications for Physical Modelling''
Existing scaling principles generally treat complex submarine debris flows as an equivalent fluid. However, there is field evidence that shows the coarse rich components in the soil deposits. In this study, we revisit the library of field and experimental data to systematically investigate the mesoscopic scaling relations between field and experimental submarine debris flows under a two-phase assumption.
The database of dimensional analysis from the library of field and laboratory previous investigations of submarine debris flows. There are two groups of parameters summarized, one is the mesoscopic parameters that are directly collected from the literature, and another is the mesoscopic dimensionless numbers calculated using dimensional analysis from this study.
