Supportinbg data for "Investigating circulating biomarkers for early identification of stroke"
The research is on investigating blood biomarkers on the early identification of stroke and its onset time by using mass spectrometory-based proteomic and metabolomic methodology. The sample size is 50, including 30 patients with ishemic stroke, 6 patients with hemorrhagic stroke, and 14 controls. The objectives are 1) first to identify the existing reported stroke biomarkers through a systematic review, especially biomarkers for ischemic stroke; 2) to investigate biomarkers for the identification of early stroke through a original study; 3) to investigate biomarkers on backtracking the onset time of ischemic stroke for the evaluation of the eligibility of intravenous thrombolysis through 2 original studies. The dataset includes four subfolders which correspond to the four chapters of the thesis. In each subfolder, there are clinical information of the participants and the quantified plasma molecules by mass spectrometry.
