Supporting Data for "Bridging the Digital Divide in Construction: Analysing the Digitalisation Challenges and Strategic Responses of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in Hong Kong"

This thesis identifies key structural, cultural, and financial constraints that hinder SMEs from adopting BIM. The study highlights that SMEs face challenges in motivation and access to skills, as well as gaps in digital literacy and strategic alignment with technology mandates. These challenges leave SMEs less equipped to adopt BIM compared with larger firms, which have better financial and technical resources. The dataset includes the interview recordings and transcriptions from the 7 exploratory interviews, 3 case studies, 2 follow-up interviews, and the documents obtained.
