Supporting Data for the Thesis Entitled "Histone H3 Lysine 9 Di-methylation Mediates Transcription Regulation on Damaged Chromatin"

Cells respond to DNA double-strand breaks (DSBs) by inducing transcriptional silencing in cis on the damaged chromatin, which is critical for efficient repair processes. Here we identify H3K9me2 as a novel mediator of transcription silencing on damaged chromatin and present PHF8 as a histone demethylase that promotes timely transcription resumption following DSB repair.

This supporting data contains raw data in addition to processed data illustrated in the thesis. The raw data consists of quantification files, immunofluorescence images, western blot images, and RT-qPCR data and timelapse photos.
