Supporting data for "Chloride resistance of alkali-activated slag: mechanism and improvement"
Alkali-activated slag (AAS) is a promising green alternative to traditional ordinary Portland cement (OPC) with a potentially lower carbon footprint. Despite the reported satisfying mechanical performance, there remain certain unknowns about the durability performance of AAS in aggressive environments, which hinders its industrial acceptance and practical application. This thesis aims to understand the degradation mechanism of AAS upon chloride attack from complex marine environments and examine different strategies for improving the chloride resistance of AAS.
This dataset is the supporting data for the thesis entitled “Chloride resistance of alkali-activated slag: mechanism and improvement”.
There are four sub-folders in this dataset:
Folder 1: Supporting data for chapter 3
This folder contains the raw and processed data for the chloride resistance of AAS and OPC in seawater as shown in chapter 3.
Folder 2: Supporting data for chapter 4
This folder contains the raw and processed data for the chloride resistance of AAS with corrosion inhibitors as shown in chapter 4.
Folder 3: Supporting data for chapter 5
This folder contains the raw and processed data for the chloride binding of AAS with mineral additives as shown in chapter 5.
Folder 4: Supporting data for chapter 6
This folder contains the raw and processed data for the chloride resistance of sodium carbonate-activated slag modified with mineral additives as shown in chapter 6.
