This dataset includes data for supporting the desertation'Contemporary Evaluation of Cardiovascular Manifestations and Related Outcomes in Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus-‘Cardiovascular Imaging and Big Data’'. Using prospective echocardiographic data, this research explores the cardiovascular menifestations in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), and the mechanism associated with cardiovascular menifestations in patients with T2DM. All patients were performed with detailed transthoracic echocardiographic examination, and echocardiographic parameters were analysed by using GE Echo Pac. In addition, the clinical information of patients were collected from clinical management system, and the blood pressure and anthropometric parameters were measured at baseline and after over 1-year follow-up. This research evaluates the risk factors associated with the longitudinal changes of left ventricular structure and function. In addition, the cardiovascular related outcomes in T2DM were estimated by using data collected from Clinical Data Analysis Sytem (CDARS) that is constructed by hong kong hospital authority. We mainly explore the risk of pneumonia, sepsis, and hyperkalemia among patients with T2DM priscribed SGLT2 inhibitors versus DPP-4 inhibitors by using this territory-wide well validated database. In this study, we also estimates whether chronic kidney disease (CKD) comes first or heart failure (HF), the temporal associations between HF events in relation to incident CKD in102488 patients with incident T2DM.
