<p>Emerging economies are always
faced with a dilemma between economic development and construction waste management.
If not properly handled, the dilemma is bound to affect sustainable development
of emerging economies. Therefore, developing circularity of construction waste
in emerging economies is urgently demanded. This study aims to investigate how
to develop circularity of construction waste in emerging economies. By searching
hard around the globe, two emerging economies, Shenzhen and Suzhou in China have
been found to achieve a success in developing circularity of construction waste
with their rapid economic growth sustained. To reveal their respective strategies
for their success to imply other emerging economies, a series of semi-structured
interviews have been conducted with various stakeholders in Shenzhen and
Suzhou. Therefore, the dataset includes a total of 24 interviews conducted in
Shenzhen and Suzhou. </p>
