Supporting data for “Developing algorithms to optimize recommender system for self-regulated learning promotion in online contexts: a design-based study”
The database provides anonymous data of 107 students (only anonymous registered accounts are provided as identifiers), and contains the tracking data of students on the website (indicated by usage frequency). The self-reported pre - and post-measurement self-regulation ability (SRL) scores within 3 days, 5 days, 7 days, 15 days, 30 days and all days were provided respectively (measured by the online self-regulation learning questionnaire), and the pre - and post-measurement performance data before and after learning (using GRE argumentative essay writing as the task evaluation). The students participated in a fully online GRE argumentative essay writing course, which consisted of six classes. The students arranged their own time for the classes (to be completed within two months at the latest). The measurements of SRL and learning performance were conducted respectively before and after the start of the course.
