Supporting data for "Development of Contactless Electromagnetic Sensing Technologies for Key Electric Devices in Microgrids"
This dataset is about the detection and monitoring technologies in key devices in microgrids including permanent magnet synchronous generators (PMSG), power converters, transmission systems, and other components. The uploaded dataset includes the model diagrams, algorithms of proposed methods, and validation of methods in the simulations and experiments.
In the corresponding research, we propose a new method for magnet defect and eccentricity detection in PMSGs. The method is based on the external magnetic field around the surface of a PMSG, which is non-invasive, robust, and low-cost. After that, a methodology for current sensing in high-frequency power converters is put forward, which can extend the current sensing bandwidth. Last but not least, a contactless condition moniotoring approach in transmission systems is presented. The presented approach can detect power quality, sag, and tower inclination in overhead transmission systems.
The purpose of the research is to develop a comprehensive monitoring system in microgirds, which is able to detect any anomalies timely and reliably.
