Supporting data for “Effects of Incorporating Concept Mapping into Computer Simulation-Based Learning with a Complex Economic System”
The files present supporting data for “Effects of Incorporating Concept Mapping into Computer Simulation-Based Learning with a Complex Economic System”, including a description of test questions in the field of economics education and a research dataset of students' scores. In the research dataset (excel file), each test question was labeled in accordance with the question title number listed in the description of pre- and post-study knowledge test questions of economics education (text file).
The data was collected after the author received ethical approval from the Human Research Ethics Committee of The University of Hong Kong. The Ethics Approval HREC’s Reference Number is EA210112.
In this study, ninety-five Year-3 undergraduate students majoring in economics and management from a public university in southern China were recruited as participants.
The students were from two parallel classes. The two classes were randomly assigned to the experimental or control group. One class of 51 students was assigned to the control group, and another class of 44 students was assigned to the experimental group.
All participants signed a consent form before participating in this study.
All the students completed the entire learning program.
Last, all the data were redacted and anonymized before submission.
