Supporting data for "Enhancing Membrane Permeance through Structural and Distributional Manipulation of Amine Monomers in Interfacial Polymerization"
This dataset belong to my PhD thesis which aims at enhancing the membrane permeance through the manipulation of amine monomers in terms of their structure and their distribution. Both polyamide-based TFC membranes (the current material for desalination membranes) and COF membranes (emerging novel materials) were investigated. To provide a comprehensive description of membranes, their physicochemical properties, morphological features, as well as their filtration performance, were studied and discussed. Chapter 3 investigated the structure of aromatic diamine monomers on the polyamide membrane properties. Chapter 4 explored the distribution of MPD monomers on the morphologies and separation performance of the resulting membranes. Chapter 5 adopted end-capping amine monomers to modify the structure and improve the permeance of COF membranes.
