Supporting data for 'Enhancing dialogic teaching in Hong Kong ESL classrooms through video-based professional development'
This group of the dataset are the supporting data for PhD thesis 'Enhancing dialogic teaching in Hong Kong ESL classrooms through video-based professional development'
The PhD thesis contains four studies and six data files. Study 1 is a review study on video-based PD, using bibliometric analysis on publication data from Scopus database.
Study 2-4 is an intervention programme, which investigate the effect of video-based PD programme on teachers. The data includes questionnaire, interviews, lesson video anaysis and workshop recordings.
Specifically, these six data files are:
A. Study 1.csv contains information on academic publications, which was downloaded from Scopus database for the Bibiliometic analysis for Study 1.
B. Study 2.csv contains 490 raw questionnaire entries as the data for the structural equation modelling for Study 2.
C. Study 3 questionnaire.csv contains 400 raw questionnaire entries as the data for the quantitative analysis for Study 3.
D. Study 3 interview.csv contains the raw transcript to 12 interviews as the data for the qualitative analysis in Study 3.
E. Study 3 video transcripts.csv contains the raw transcripts to 57 classroom lesson video recordings as the data for Study 3.
F. Study 4 workshop.csv contains the raw transcripts to 7 workshops as the data for Study 4.
