Zika virus (ZIKV) is a mosquito-borne flavivirus that caused unprecedented large-scale epidemics of severe neurological complications. Currently, there has been no clinically-approved vaccine or antivirals for the prevention or treatment of ZIKV, suggesting the need of exploring novel strategies that may potentially combat these emerging viral pathogens. Therefore, our study reveal new targets that may add to our current repertoire of antiviral strategies.
