Supporting data for "Learning sound correspondences during second dialect acquisition: behavioral and neurophysiological evidence".

<p dir="ltr">This dataset contains the supporting data for the thesis "Learning sound correspondences during second dialect acquisition: behavioral and neurophysiological evidence" by YU, Xiaoyu.</p><p dir="ltr">Chapter 2 folder contains the perception data, including confusion matrices and distinctive features. These metrics were used to quantify the sound similarity of the Mandarin consonant phonemes.</p><p dir="ltr">Chapter 3 folder contains the artificial language learning experiment stimulus list, data and analysis. These data were analyzed to explore the role of sound similarity in learning sound correspondences.</p><p dir="ltr">Chapter 4 contains the ERP data. These data were used to examine the mechanism of sound correspondence application in processing second dialect cognates.</p>
