<p dir="ltr">The scope of the data in this research project focuses on investigating the effects of an alpha-4 beta-2 nicotinic acetylcholine receptor agonist targeting postoperative neuroinflammation and cognitive decline in a murine model. The study includes a sample size of 150 mice, encompassing surgery group, surgery + agonist group and anaesthesia groups, to assess the therapeutic potential of the these agonists in mitigating neuroinflammatory responses and cognitive impairments following surgery. </p><p dir="ltr">The data files comprise behavioral evaluations related to cognitive function, neuroinflammatory markers like pro-inflammtory cytokine or anti-inflmmatory cytokine, glial cell activation including astrocyte staining and microglia staining, as well as protein markers related to synaptic plasticity and memory function. This study offers a detailed insight into the experimental outcomes and molecular changes associated with the agonist treatment, aiming to elucidate the mechanisms underlying its neuroprotective and cognitive-enhancing properties.</p>
