This dataset contains data collected for the project: "Professional Development of Early Childhood Education Teachers in China: Observations from Shanghai and Guizhou". The project is designed to explore the commonalities and differences in teachers' professional development experiences across regions and urban-rural areas of China, and how the variations in PD experiences lead to different classroom quality and child development outcomes. This dataset includes data collected from teacher surveys (N=471), classroom observation (N=52), and direct child assessment (N=710) from 29 preschools in Shanghai, urban Guizhou, and rural Guizhou.
