Dataset of study on "RED MUD-DERIVED LAYERED DOUBLE HYDROXIDES AS ANTIBACTERIAL ADDITIVES IN CEMENTITIOUS MATERIALS". The data mainly includes the raw data of the figures, the analysis results and the related table and figure. The introduction of this study is as follows:

Chapter 4 describes the synthesis method of RM-BZ-LDHs by calcination-hydration method in detail. The physiochemical characteristics of the synthesized RM-BZ-LDHs are studied by XRD for structural analysis, TGA for thermal stability, FTIR for chemical bonding features, and BET for specific surface area and porosity. The RM-BZ-LDHs are compared with the reference MgAl-BZ-LDHs prepared by rehydration and the RM-CO3-LDHs synthesized by calcination-hydration. The results confirm that benzoate ions were successfully embedded in RM-LDHs, and RM-BZ-LDHs were successfully synthesized.

Chapter 5 evaluates the application of RM-LDHs in cement pastes. First, this chapter introduces the preparation method of the paste samples incorporating RM-LDHs. Then, the effect of RM-LDHs on the mechanical properties of hardened cement paste, and the effect of RM-LDHs on hydration products are investigated. In addition, SEM are used to observe the micro-morphological changes, and the feasibility of RM-BZ-LDHs to improve the antimicrobial properties of OPC are evaluated by leaching test.
