Supporting data for “Semantic modelling of building energy flexibility information with solar photovoltaics into BIM environment”
This dataset comprises semantic ontological models designed to model the operation and maintenance (O&M) of integrated building energy systems, including:
- Building-Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV/BAPV)
- Battery Energy Storage (BES) Systems
- Building Energy Flexibility (BEF) mechanisms
The ontology standardizes relationships between physical components, operational parameters, maintenance protocols, and energy flexibility metrics, potentially enabling interoperability across those three systems.
There are two files in the dataset:
- "BIPV-BES-BEF Ontology.ttl" file contain the ontology constructed from concepts in standards.
- "IfcOWL_3B_CaseStudy.ttl" file is an extension of IfcOWL based on the nodes in "BIPV-BES-BEF Ontology.ttl".
SWRL rules on BIPV, BES, and BEF O&M are contained in both "BIPV-BES-BEF Ontology.ttl" and "IfcOWL_3B_CaseStudy.ttl".
Potential applications of these two ontological models include creating information systems based on ontology, translating ontologies into data models, mapping and integrating industry data, and combining renewable energy applications into BIM environment, etc.
