Supporting data for "The Effectiveness of Enhancing Contact Model on Reducing Affiliate Stigma among Family Caregivers of Persons with Schizophrenia in Rural China: A Mixed Method Study”

The dataset includes all data written in the thesis titled “The Effectiveness of Enhancing Contact Model (ECM) on Reducing Affiliate Stigma among Family Caregivers of Persons with Schizophrenia in Rural China: A Mixed Method Study.” Based on contact theory, ECM pertains to positive contact, rather than general or even negative contact. By using both quantitative and qualitative methods, we examined the efficacy of ECM in a randomized control trial, and further explored its potential mechanism in content analysis. Evidence showed that ECM is an effective and stable anti-stigma strategy in the context of rural China.
