This folder contains 4 datasets for the investigation of the effects of exercise and Tai Chi on improving depressive symptoms and sleep outcomes in different clinical populations.

The dataset for the study investigating the comparative effectiveness of exercise and antidepressants contains the data of a network meta-analysis of studies that assessed the effects of exercise, antidepressants, or their combination, in adults with depression.

The dataset for the study investigating the effects of physical activity interventions on improving depressive symptoms in children and adolescents contains the data of a meta-analysis that included randomized and quasi-randomized controlled trials that allocated children and adolescents to a physical activity or control condition and assessed depressive symptoms before and after the intervention period.

The dataset for the study investigating the effects of Tai Chi and conventional exercise on improving depressive symptoms contains the preliminary data of a randomized controlled trial where older adults with chronic insomnia and depressive symptoms received a health education control, conventional exercise, or Tai Chi intervention for 12 12 weeks. The available outcomes include various sleep and depression questionnaires used to assess the effectiveness of the interventions on mood before and after the intervention period.

The dataset for the study investigating the association between insomnia and depressive symptoms after a cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia or Tai Chi intervention contains the data of a secondary analysis of a randomized controlled trial where older adults with chronic insomnia were randomly allocated to receive either a cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia intervention or a Tai Chi program. Outcomes included depressive symptoms and sleep quality assessed using different sleep questionnaires, 7-day sleep diary and 7-day actigraphy.
