Supporting data for " The role of MGAT4B in the immune response in hepatocellular carcinoma"

<p dir="ltr">Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a highly heterogeneous malignancy with diverse etiologies and molecular drivers, which contributes to variable levels of CD8+ T cell infiltration, a spectrum of T cell functional states, and ultimately, limited efficacy of immunotherapeutic interventions. A key oncogenic mechanism in HCC is aberrant protein glycosylation, yet the specific pathways through which these glycosylation changes lead to immune dysfunction within the tumor microenvironment are not fully understood. Our research project is designed to systematically address this knowledge gap by focusing on the glycosyltransferase MGAT4B. The study has three primary aims: first, to characterize the clinical significance and biological functions of MGAT4B in HCC pathogenesis; second, to delineate its specific role in regulating the tumor immune microenvironment; and third, to explore the therapeutic potential of targeting MGAT4B to augment anti-tumor immunity and improve treatment outcomes for HCC.</p><p dir="ltr">This dataset comprehensively contains the source data and analysis scripts for all figures presented in the associated thesis. The files are organized per figure to ensure clarity and reproducibility. Each figure's folder is explicitly named to indicate the experimental objective and the key difference or primary methodology used, for example, Figure 1_mRNA expression_stage or Figure 5_HCC tumor model_HE staining, which provides an immediate understanding of the figure's context.</p><p dir="ltr">Within each folder, a detailed collection of documents is included: a step-by-step protocol for the experimental analysis or procedure, the original raw data files, a script or document used for data processing, statistical analysis, and figure generation, and the final figure output. This structured organization ensures that the data supporting each research finding is transparent, accessible, and readily available for further scrutiny or meta-analysis.</p>
