Supporting data for "The role of the gut microbiome and bile acid metabolism in chronic liver diseases"
The file contains the supporting data for the thesis entitled "The role of the gut microbiome and bile acid metabolism in chronic liver diseases".
Description of the dataset
We aim to identify potential new biomarkers for differentiation of MAFLD and chronic HBV infection under different disease courses by bile acid profiling and gut microbiota study.
Firstly, we addressed the role of human gut virome in fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) and metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD) by investigating the metagenome dataset of a human gut microbiota-associated murine (HMA) model of MAFLD. To this end, gut virome data for the subjects in the HMA model was obtained, the dataset include the gut virome data and a supplementary file.
Secondly, we aimed to identify the composition of the gut microbe and profile of ciculating bile acids in a chronic HBV patients. Moreover, we tried to disentangle the relationship between the two chronic liver diseases in te perspective of gut microbiota and bile acid metabolism. Therefore, clinical measurements, bile acid profile, gut microbiome data were obtained.
