The present study examined the reading comprehension performance of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and compared it with that of their typically developing counterparts to identify the possible variables that may relate to their reading comprehension performance. A series of six tests namely tone identification test, Embedded Figures Test (EFT), homograph reading test, homophone test, music test and reading test were conducted with native Cantonese ASD participants with and without musical training and their corresponding TD groups.
