This thesis aims to explore an underrecognised global population of ancient volcanic constructs on Mars and evaluate the potential sources of the vast ash deposition in the mid latitude regions across the globe. This work also explores the potential of a larger unknown population of volcanic complexes that has involved explosive eruption in late/mid Noachian to early Hesperian time, which perhaps represents the documentation of the transition of eruption style in the Martian volcanic history.
The dataset is a record of Martian impact crater database analysis for the searching of degraded caldera constructs.
