<p dir="ltr">This dataset contains data such as Matlab and Python codes, and COMSOL files to support the thesis titled “AC loss and modelling of superconducting machines for electric aircraft”.</p><p dir="ltr">Content includes files to analytically calculate ac loss of copper Litz wire, aluminum Litz wire, MgB2 multifilament wire, and REBCO tape under different conditions (temperature, magnetic field, transport current density; model magnetic field and ca loss analytically in partially superconducting machine (permanent magnetic synchronous machine, PMSM) and fully superconducting machine (dc synchronous machine, DCSM) with MgB2 armature.</p><p dir="ltr">Further, there are files that use integral method to model high temperature superconducting tapes in the armatures of air-cored machine and iron-cored machine, and files that use the integral method to model ac loss of coils made of uncoupled, coupled-at-ends, and coupled tapes.</p><p dir="ltr">In addition, raw data and analysis Matlab scripts are provided for electrical method measurements of transport ac loss of a coil cooled by gaseous helium, and for temperatures in the experimental platform to investigate calorimetric methods for ac loss measurement.</p>
