<p dir="ltr">This zip folder contains 2 parts. </p><p dir="ltr">The first part is data from a School-based Smoking Survey among Students (SSS), a repeated cross-sectional study conducted biannually by our research team. This dataset includes SSS 2010/11, 2012/13, 2014/15, 2016/17, 2018/19, and 2020/21. This study is funded by the Food and Health Bureau, Hong Kong SAR. The reference number for each survey round is FHB/H/41/21/1, FHB/H/41/21/2, FHB/H/41/100, FHB/H/41/124, FHB/H/41/157 and FHB/H/41/176, respectively.</p><p dir="ltr">The data from each survey round are stored in CSV format, accompanied by detailed project reports and the original questionnaires used for data collection.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p><p dir="ltr">For specific chapters in our analysis:</p><ul><li><b>Chapter 4</b>: Utilizes data spanning from the 2010/11 to 2020/21 survey rounds, providing a broad overview of trends over a decade.</li><li><b>Chapter 5</b>: Focuses specifically on the data from the 2020/21 survey, offering insights into the tobacco exposure from different products.</li><li><b>Chapter 7</b>: Analyses data from the 2016/17 survey, allowing for an in-depth examination of smokefree home restrictions.</li></ul><p><br></p><p dir="ltr">The second component of the dataset consists of data from a qualitative study focused on Hong Kong parents who use tobacco. This study explores their practices, perceptions, and attitudes towards creating and maintaining a smoke-free home environment. The qualitative data were gathered through in-depth interviews. The dataset includes both audio recordings and verbatim transcripts of these interviews, ensuring a comprehensive capture of the parents' narratives.</p><p dir="ltr"><br></p>
