Supporting Data for "MECHANISTIC STUDIES OF EXCITED-STATE HYDROGEN ATOM TRANSFER REACTIVITY FOR STRONG C(SP3)–H ACTIVATION USING OSMIUM(VI) PHOTOCATALYSTS"
The photo-induced C-H activation is an area of topic interest, which involves the formation of carbon-centered radicals to achieve versatile functionalization reactions. However, in contrast to the well-developed synthetic chemistry of the carbon-centered radical, the mechanism of the essential elementary interaction between photocatalysts and C-H bonds remains little understood and challenging to study due to the poor photophysical properties and limited stability of the photocatalysts reported so far. Here we synthesize a series of novel Os(VI) photocatalysts that exhibit long lifetimes, high quantum yield, and detectable intermediates, thus enabling detailed mechanistic studies of the excited-state hydrogen atom transfer reactivity. This dataset contains the experimental spectra of the complexes involved in the project to support the characterization, thermodynamic measurements, and DFT calculations.
