This study explored the effects of providing students with personalized emotion regulation support when they perform complex tasks in an online environment. Personalized ER support was provided to students in the experimental group only. The effects were examined in terms of students’ task performance, emotional experiences, engagement in emotion regulation, and comments on the learning program.
