Supporting data for "Efficacy of Transcranial Pulse Stimulation in Treating Mild Neurocognitive Disorders"
This dataset depicting the cognitive, biochemical and MRI results from subjects with NCD before and after receiving TPS. The first part involved demographics details. Then the next part included cognitive and psychological measures (Hong Kong Chinese version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (HK-MocCA), Category Verbal Fluency Test (VFT), Stroop Test, Trail Making Test (TMT), Forward and Backward Digit Span Test (DS). Additionally, measures were taken for depressive symptoms using the Hamilton RatingScale for Depression (HDRS-17), apathy using the Apathy Evaluation Scale-Clinician (AES-C), and daily functioning using the Hong Kong Chinese version of the Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale (Chinese IADL)) assessed across four timepoints (baseline, 12-week Treatment-as-usual, immediate post, 12-week follow-up). Then next part involved the biochemical data records (APOE gene, BDNF, CRP). The last part contained pre-post TPS fMRI data regarding functional connectivity of the hippocampal regions, and the cortical thickness data (structural MRI T1 data) on all brain regions.
