This dataset is the supporting data for the thesis entitled Mechanotransducing Hydrogel for Switching Enzyme Reaction via Modulation of Multivalent Interactions. It encompasses the physical characterization results of designed mechano-responsive hydrogels, including compression test, absorption spectra, FTIR spectra, and SEM images.
Mechanical force is ubiquitously present in living organisms and functions in many biological processes. Inspired by natural mechanotransduction behaviors, we proposed a universal strategy to design a smart hydrogel for mechanotransduction into enzyme reactions and further exploration on the development of mechano-responsive hydrogels with various functions.
