Supporting data for “Know Her Name: History, Identity, and Onomastics of Manchu Women in the Qing Dynasty”

This dataset is about the interview with Y (anonymously) conducted during Zhou Chengyi’s research on Manchu women and their names. It contains a transcription and Y’s informed consent. The interview was conducted in Chinese (Putonghua) and transcribed into English by Zhou. The content is cited in her doctoral dissertation titled “Know Her Name: History, Identity, and Onomastics of Manchu Women in the Qing Dynasty.”
