Supporting data for "Large-eddy Simulation of Flow and Pollutant Dispersion behind a Heavy-duty Vehicle"
The file contains the supporting data for the thesis "Large-eddy Simulation of Flow and Pollutant Dispersion behind a Heavy-duty Vehicle". In the thesis, flow behaviors were examined first to improve the understanding of vehicular wake dynamics with the large-eddy simulation (LES) method. Our LES results were validated by comparing them with wind-tunnel experimental results from a previous study. The comparison result is contained in the "Validation" folder. The analysis of flow and pollutant dispersion is based on the contours, which are from LES data. These countour figures are contained in the "Contour" folder. With the help of LES, instantaneous concentrations can be obtained. The concentration time series data is sampled at the tailpipe level within the major recirculation in order to investigate the sampling duration effect on mean concentration for plume chasing measurement. The time series data is within the "Tailpipe_concentration" folder.
